Dinner. Brief prayer and personal sharing.
Receiving and reflecting on a video version of the report and recommendations of the Committee on Slavery, Accountability and Reconciliation, video clips from the September 23rd event at Grand Coteau and several beautiful prayers prepared by Irma Dillard honoring the lives of the enslaved persons who were a part of our lives in several locations in the South.
A message from Marcia Chatelain (who addressed our Assembly in St. Louis two years ago) and an exploration of the concept of White Privilege using segment of an excellent film (Cracking the Codes). Liturgy.
We will reflect on next steps that we can take individually and corporately to create a more welcoming and just community and do a few small pieces of Province business. Plan to leave after lunch.
